Hi Nicholas. It sounds as if your bilge pump is located under the cockpit sole - there is usually an inspection hatch either at the aft end of the cockpit sole - of just within the area under the engine well. Others are located within teh fuel tank well under the engine. The bilge pump was an optional extra and thus most were fitted by dealers and owners, so thier location does vary. Si.

Hi Nicholas, Have you had a look in the engine well where the inspection hatch is ? You might have missed it - you have to lean right in to the well and you will find the little circular cover on the inside of the deck where it drops down in to the well. Some people just fit them in the well itself, but under the deck is the lowest point and if you get a torch once you take the cover off, you should be able to see down in to the bilges and find something there. Simon (HOC Secretary) will be the best person to advise and he will no doubt make a posting to you as well. I will email him. All the best, Marie HOC Editor

This sounds daft but I can't find the bilge pump in my Family Pilot 20! I can hear it and it works but I can't see it anywhere and I would like to check its wiring. Is there a usual place that they are fitted? Nicholas
