Hi Richard, You can purchase small pieces of marine ply off e-Bay of different sizes and thickness, or you could visit someone who does boat repairs and refitting locally, you may even get bits that size from their 'scrap bin' for free?
If I was patching a hole cut into a helm etc, I would possibly purchase solid teak, this can also be bought fairly cheaply from e-Bay, I know as I have bought literally thousands of pieces over the years to make hand carved plaques for boats, houses etc, lots of different wood types like oak, teak etc and different widths, thicknesses and lengths, always found what I needed! Look under 'wood offcuts' of the type you require.
Good luck!
Col.

Hi,
Looking for a small piece of marine ply 5/8” (16mm approximately), size 6x6”, to patch an old speaker hole on my Hardy 36.
Can anyone help?
