Hello Simon P and Simon K,
Many thanks for your comments. I have looked at more detail of installing a holding tank on the Tek-Tank web site also had a further look at what might work on the boat this morning. I have decided that we will take the Porta Potti option. I am aiming to simplify things and a holding tank does not do that for me.
Thanks again for your comments
Regards
David

Hi David
Andy Barwick, the owner of Triple-A - a Hardy 25Mk2 has, I believe been fitting a holding tank - might be worth trying to contact him. I've seen one fitted to a Mk1 similar to Demelza, the hoses were passed into the lazarette under the helm area when the holding tank was fitted. The vent was at high level with a filter, and the deck fitting through the starboard side deck in the usual fashion.
We have a Porta Potti in our H25 and far prefer the arrangement, I'm really not a fan of holding tanks.
Best Regards
Simon.

Hi Demelza
I am a former employee of Hardyu Marine from 1983 to 1990, You could fit a holding tank under the cockpit sole, or if you did not want to go down that route, you could have the Sea Toilet removed from the toilet compartment and fit a Thetford toilet on the area where the sea toilet is positioned and seal up the toilet pipes or remove them and put blanks on the sea cocks until you use the sea toilet again. Either way is do able it is just down to how much you wish to spent.

I have a Hardy 25 with a Jabsco sea toilet. I am planning on doing some cruising on the Thames next year and I guess I will have to "upgrade" the toilet to either have holding tank or replace with one of the self contained ones (Thetford etc).
Has anyone put a holding tank into a 25 ? Any lessons you could give me ? or has anyone changed to a porta potti type. I must say the later seems the simplest option.
Thanks
