A water leak might not be external, it maybe caused by a non return valve in the pump itself allowing the water to slowly leak back into the water tank. I should think the accumulator air pressure would be similar to the pressure switch setting, it's purpose being to smooth out the water flow and minimise the pump starting and stopping so often. Another function of the accumulator if you have a hot water system is to absorb the expansion of the water as it gets hot John

Another possibility is a leak in the pressure accumulator, or it might just need topping up with air. I don't know what pressure it should be.

You may have a small slow water leak somewhere which is making the pressure switch start the pump intermittently. John

Hello, The fresh water pump on my Hardy 27 is working ok but is making a fast ticking noise every minute which is coming from the pump. Can any body help please. Regards Mike
