Hi Paul. I have just looked up the details for the Hardy 20 (Orignal name for the 20MS). The weight of course depends on the load - kit on board etc, but when new the details say: Weight (with inboard) 4189lbs Weight (hull – for outboard) 3638lbs Quite a heavy boat - but then again a lot of ballast aboard in that stub keel! If you have Bilge keels then the trailer design may be simpler.. Definately look at SBS as Ron Says above. You could also Try De Graaff Trailers - I've used them for a while and they seem to make trailers for Fin Keel boats... There are others out there two. Si.

Hi Paul, I'm not sure but I suspect that your motorsailer does not weigh around your estimate of 2200kg. I own a Hardy Pilot 20' and from memory she weighs 950kg? I'm also a new member and fairly new to boating but your estimate is, I'm sure, way over the top. I'm fortunate in that I have our boat berthed permanently in a marina so don't need the use of a trailer, however, before we bought our boat a trailer was considered and my wife and I traveled to Wolverhampton to visit SBS trailers who produce excellent units. They would also advise on the size of a suitable trailer Hope this helps a little.

Hi.. I'm a new member looking for a trailer for a Hardy 20 MS. I understand they have a deeper keel from the Hardy Family Pilot and need a trailer of 2500kg GWT. Am I correct in thinking the Hardy 20 MS weighs in around 2200kg..? Do any owners of Hardy Motorsailers trail to different cruising grounds..? What make of trailer would be suitable. If this is considered too difficult with a boat of this weight..? I would just be looking at bring my new boat (when I find one) home for winter storage in Fowey, and I would also like to cruise the French canals at some point in the future. Any advice welcome. Many thanks. Paul
