Thankyou for your reply. The hull is white gel coat with a blue stripe. The steering position is on the starboad side. The sink/cooker is underneath the passenger seat. It was dark when I was looking at the plate, so I will check again and ring hardy.

Hardy started making the motor boats as the PH 17(Power Hull)in 1979 with a canvas roof and the steering position on the port side. They then added a GRP roof on later models but it had a slight rake aft to the roof with angled side wndows up until 1984/85. The steering position was moved to starboard around that time. I would estimate yours to be around early 1980's vintage but a call to Hardy with the serial number can give you the date it left the factory.

Hi, just bought an 18ft Hardy that has been neglected. We intend on restoring her to her former glory. I'd like to know the age and model for insurance etc. The only ID I can find is a hardy marine plate, with number '286' Thanks
