thanks graham you were right i didn.t look for the simple things first.i had the boat out today i done as you suggested no problem.iv.e been boating thirty five years.i think i was looking for problems.i had the boat on the hard done so much work to it including scraping the antifouling of and painting new.the boat is going faster than it ever have twenty knots.before thirteen knots thanks again rob

Rob I dont think that it is due to you lightening the boat as it is caused by the stern wash pushing the boat forward. I dont believe it has anything to do with the engine. Try shutting down /coming off the plane slower so as you dont have such a huge stern wave

iv'e recently noticed that when i throttle back the boat bow steers to port or staboard.iv'e recently had the gearbox off for a service.iv'e tried adjusting the skeg no difference.the boat is a 1992 hardy pilot with a 60 hp yamaha the boat runs great it planes easily with two on board .i have trim tabs fitted.the only thing iv'e done is make the boat lighter by getting all the junk i used to carry hope someone can help thanks rob.
