Hi Steve(guest).
Any queries on our journey around GB feel free to contact us.
Yes a book has always seemed a good idea given the great interest our trip generated, especially amongst small boat owners. It was the most incredible journey and remains amongst the most fulfilling experiences of both our lives. The Hardy Pilot (with modifications) was the perfect vessel for the job.
Once I finish my current house build it may well get some more attention! We had a circumnavigation website for the duration of the trip as an illustrated progress update/report facility but it has been offline now for some 4 plus years (was hosted through a friends website as a link)
Regards
Dominic and Nicola Gribbin
P.S. Thanks Steve Hook for forwarding your copy of the article to Steve (Guest). Very kind of you.

Thank you all for the replies. I will look into the magazine option. can anybody bend the rules a little and send me a scanned hoc copy. i think from the little i know about it that it sounds a great story and definately worth a web site of its own or maybe a book. ps. I have a Shetland at the moment and am thinking about moving over to a Hardy.

Hi Steve (guest).
Huge apologies for not responding sooner. Normally up to speed with HOC forum traffic. That's what comes from currently building our own house from scratch!
Yes, I wrote an article for HOC magazine following the return from our round GB trip. Can theoretically be obtained as a scanned copy from HOC direct.
Also, and probably better is a full article in Motor Boats Monthly circa 2006. YBW.com have available this great colour article written by the magazine's then news editor Rob Peake.
Purchase it at...
http://marinedirectory.ybw.com/reprints/results_related.jsp?tem=ybw&id=49322
Any further questions do e-mail me via this forum or contact the HOC webmaster John Watson who will pass on my direct contact details to you.
Very best wishes and speak soon
Dominic and Nicola.
P.S Thanks also to Steve Hook for attempting to get hold of me!

Hello Steve ( guest) & Steve (No.2288)
I noted with interest your entry about Dominic & Nicola Gribbin's trip.
For those of you who might not know, Dominic & Nicola decided to circumnavigate the UK and part of Ireland in a bid to raise both awareness and funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, after a close relative passed away from the illness. They chose to do the journey in a 1993 Hardy Family Pilot, named ''Jura Pilot''.
Unfortunately we at HOC do not keep 'back issues' only archived copies of our magazine '' The Hardy Owner'' in which this journey was reported. We can however supply Club Members with scanned copies of articles, which we can then email to them. I am afraid that we can only provide this service to actual Members of the Hardy Owners Club at this time. I have spoken with Dominic, and he will be responding to you soon.
All the very best to you, Marie.
