Stephen is correct in saying Fishing 20 hull not built for speed, I bought a new Yam 60 4 stroke just over a year ago, but it will not plane. Good luck, Ian (Anstruther Fife)

OK Stephen , thanks for that , I did notice the weight is the same as the 80 Hp so watch this space , I picked up the engine new in the crate from a dealer that went too the wall so it has zero hours , cant wait for the fun to start Cheers Allen

yes works fine same as 80hp yam i also have the fishing 20 rebuilding the deck at present and am plesantly surprised at the strength 0f the hull only problem might be insurance although i did see one fitted a few years ago by a yam dealer i think this boat is in bangor n.i you alredy have the same problem at present anyhow (this hull is not designed for speed} so you might as well have a quiet thriftier more reliable engine or alternatively give it to me and i will try it out and let you know how i get on in afew years time.

Hello , Just purchased a Fishing 20 with a old Merc 85 HP 2 stroke , My question is , I also have a new 100HP 4 stroke Yamaha I would like to fit , Hardy say 75HP max for one engine or 2 40 Hp units ? I have noticed people say they have fitted bigger than 100 HP without any problems , So what do you think ? Any advice most welcome Thanks
