Thanks Dominic & Nicola, Finally got a response from Hardy, and the paint finish is called "Porta Fleck" and was made by McPherson. Apparantly its a spray applied finish and i'm guessing that to get the blue streaks to look right would take practice and skill, so I will stick to a brush applied bilge paint me thinks.

Hi Jon. I believe the paint you desire is International Danboline Bilge Paint. Available in a variety of colours with as you describe a streaky/marble effect. Check with suppliers. Dominic.

Navigator 18' SX, 1996. Does anyone know what the thick chalky "paint" finish is on the interior of my Hardy is? It's white with thin blue streaks in it to create a sort of marble effect. Two pictures of it http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/jdsixpenny/Hardy%20Navigator%2018/Hardyinterior-near.jpg http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/jdsixpenny/Hardy%20Navigator%2018/Hardyinterior-closeup.jpg In places it has become stained and is flaking away in others - can I obtain similar stuff to reapply, or can it be safely overpainted and by what? Hardy Marine have not offered any suggestion .... Thanks in advance for any ideas.
