Andy, Thanks for above. The drive is mainly Volvo SP-C. Search of the Volvo website does not seem to have any info on the SP-C, only the SX which is the current version. The reference to some info on this forum came up with a blank! But perhaps I do not know how to search the forum. (I just copiep and pasted the reference into the search box and 'pressed go') Perhaps I should ask Hardy. Regards, Roy.

Roy Have a look at this thread on the forum. http://www.hardy-owner.org.uk/forum/en1191310417.htm It mentions a Volvo drive model (SP-C) on the 59Hp MD22 Volvo that could well be the one on your boat. Cheers Andy

Hi Roy I was looking into buying a Volvo engined Pilot last year. It had the volvo engine and outdrive. I downloaded an engine manual from the Volvo Penta website. From memory I think the drive was an SX unit, but am not sure if I managed to download a manual for it. It might be worth contacting Volvo Penta reference maintenance for the drive. Maybe they could point you towards and on line manual. Hardy could also likely give you details of the installation on your boat if you called them and quoted your hull number. Presumably the drive on the Pilot would have been fitted to alot of other boats so there could be some info on the web. If I come across any other info I'll post back. Cheers Andy

I have recently purchased a 1994 Hardy Pi lot with 59HP Volvo engine with outdrive leg. What maintenance is reccomended for the leg? Is there a website with details? Specifically, how to remove the prop? Is there an anode somewhere? Is the reversing gear part of the leg? and where does one drain the lubricant and fill it again? The paperwork with the boat says it is mostly Volvo parts but with some special bits by Marine Power Engineering. From their website it seems that this sort of thing is no longer their line of business. I hope someone can help. Thanks, Roy Procter.
