Hi Steve ..Still wondering whether to put on a bigger engine or not but don't want to spend the money and then find that it costs a fortune to run on petrol ! Anyway we have friends on the Geni side and could meet up for a beer later this year perhaps except mid-July when we are off to a wedding for two weeks or so. Our tel 00302645031361 if you sant to contact... Mike and Thea

Steve... Wy wife and I have lived here for nearly 7 years. Actually it is a 87 pilot SE (my mistake) and we would be pleased to see you later this year but we are off to UK on July 12th for a wedding for a couple of weeks but happy to see you any other time. Do you have a boat over here? We sailed here on our first boat a 33 foot Moody in 2001 via Spain/ France Italy and Greece. Mike

Mike, Under the cockpit carpet on the sole between the aft lockers, there is a cast plate mounted that takes the chromed 'pillar' on which the cabin table is mounted. My Pilot has two seperate tables / poles, but I leave the cockpit table in-situ to make the aft a bench seat, and raise it with the 'pillar' when we eat in the cockpit. (Which has been somewhat less than usual in the Bristol Channel this summer!). For the ladder, on the stern I have an aux engine to stbd, and a boarding ladder to port. This is a simple three step 'fold-up' and whilst it does contact the trim tab when unfolded for use, it serves the purpose to reboard when needed. Hope this helps..... Pete

Many thanks for your reply. We bought our old Hardy SE in UK and brought it out here last year. We have since found that the top of the cabin table which can be mounted inside the cabin fits perfectly between the cockpit lockers. We can lift it out when we want to get at the fuel tanks so that's OK. It's really hard work getting out and we really would like to fit a swim ladder somewhere as water on the drips the side of the boat into the starboard locker from swimming when we get on board. Are the ladders you have seen mounted near the outboard engine itself (close or further out ?? Or any other ideas ??? Will e-mail some pics to show you if you can let me have your e-mail. Many Thanks Mike

Hi Mike I have a Pilot SE. I was just wondering where you mean 'between the lockers'? I was also thinking of fitting a swim ladder. More for safety, ie reboarding the boat after falling in. I think I have seen standard fold down ladders mounted to the Pilot on the transom either side of the outboard well so it should be a straight forward project. Cheers Andy

We have a Hardy pilot SE 1989 and would like to fit a swim ladder (live in Greece) and also put on a new cockpit table in the area between the lockers. Been to the Hardy site and cannot find and details anywhere on how they are mounted or anything about them or anyone having done this before. Does anyone have any pictures or advice Please ??? Regards Mike and Thea (Levkas)
