I to have an interest in buying the 24 and wonder how they cope with rough water and if they are a dry boat, The comment by Rob makes me think if its the right boat for 6+1 fishing. any info on this boat would be welcome, Mike

Hello Rob, I am contemplating buying a fishing 24 for light mini charter sea angling, could you tell me if you got coded eventually? and do you know of any other Hardy 24 owners who have been able to obtain coding / license/? thanks Smith

Has anyone else had a similar problem to me? Have recently purchased a fishing 24 (long wheelhouse) with D4-225 engine. The CE rating is 8 persons and the estimated loaded weight is approx 3800kg. I had a coding survey done yesterday in order to use the veseel for charter work. As it would be coded for 6, we got 6 bodies together to load the boat and test the lean. However as soon as 6 of us were in the cockpit water poured in through the side & rear scuppers to such an extent that we "abandoned ship" PDQ! I just wondered if anyone else has a 24 with a D4-225 engine or has issues with the scuppers being so low to the water line. The good news is that I can probably still get the boat coded by it will have to be classed as an "Open Boat" and have the scuppers blocked off whilst at sea. Any experiences gratefully received. Thanks rob
