Hi there, Just did my Hardy 20 FP heads, took of the old cloth and used foam backed vinyl from www.hawkehouse.co.uk Fitting instructions are available on their web site along with the adhesive and any additional items you may need. Vinyl is better than the cloth as it is wipe clean. You need the glue they recommend as the glass fibre can get hot and the vinyl could peel off with other types of adhesive. Didn't take long either, hardest part was trimming around the porthole. regards Ian Nevay

Hi Anthony, The sidelining need the windows out to do the job correctly as the rubber round the windows hold the sidelining I place. Regards Simon Papendick Former Hardy Marine Employee

Roger, I now have the January Mag with your excellent article - thanks for putting in the time to write the article and I'm sorry I've not responded sooner - I'm afraid I'm a fair weather cruiser so don't think a great deal about our boat in the middle of winter!

Roger, I would be very interested in your article as I am planning to replace the headlinings. I was wary of using too many screws and had considered batons. However I tried using industrial velcro but whilst the velcro held the adhesive on it didn't! Presumably you can get my email thro the forum? Thanks David

Dear Richard I replaced the head & side linings as well as the boards on my Hardy 20 MS last winter & submitted an article to the magazine for publication but it has not been seen. Send me our contact details & I will send you a copy. Roger Piper

The headlining material on our Navigator fell down some years ago (which was not entirely bad news as it was home to hundreds of spiders) and now the material lining the sides of the wheelhouse and cabin are also in dire need of replacement - has anybody any ideas of (a) a source of suitable material and (b) the best way to glue the material on. Regarding the spiders I read elsewhere in the Forum about the sonic spider deterent so I might try getting one of those as well.
