Hi Dominic and Nicola,
I remember an article by someone in Practical Boat Owner in the not so distant past, recommending Astonish cream cleaner( used on ovens etc.) to clean up GRP. I tried it and it was great removing stains on my old boat. It is cheap and not tested on animals. Good luck.
Regards
Marie

OXALIC ACID. removes all stains, use carefully and rinse well. I have used on GRP as well as wood boats. Look up www.agwoodcare.co.uk

Someone some time ago posted a very useful piece of advice on a method of easily removing rusty stains that often crop up on GRP surfaces. I have trawled the forum but cannot find it.
Our 'rusty' stains are actually from a red-leaved Acer tree that overhangs our Pilot on the front drive. It sheds huge quantities of leaves that have leached red/rusty marks all over the boat. Although the tarp is now on to protect it, I'm left with some serious elbow grease style scrubbing?
Any suggestions anybody on a solution/solvent? to speed the work up?
Dominic and Nicola.
