Further to our message of 16 Nov 09, I have spoken to a very helpful guy at Hardy Marine Ltd who has found a hatch for us including hinges and fastener, and is in the process of dispatching it to us.

Unfortunately the cabin hatch on our Hardy Navigator 18 blew off in the gales of this weekend. Does anyone know where we might obtain a replacement? I shall contact Hardy Marine tomorrow (Mon) but judging from other comments, do not hold much hope! Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Hi Roger,I had a clear perspex square with rounded corners made.I drilled it and fixed it with sealer and s/s self tappers. It looks well and lets lots of light in.You can also get tinted. Very cheap too. Good luck Joe.

Ian I have a PH17 ''Joshua'', see this months magazine cover and the club gallery. If it is any help I can supply you with dimensions, photos etc to make a new one. It is possible I could make a mould from the outside of mine for you. The construction of the hatch on my boat supprised me when fitting a vent, I thought it would be just a thin GRP moulding but it turned out to be a composite of GRP/Wood/Plastic ! about an inch thick. Built to land a helicopter on. Please get in touch directly if you would like any help. John

The cabin hatch cover blew off my old Navigator (actually a PH17) last week on the way beck from Scotland - just thought I'd post on the off chance that anyone might have one of these or any advice on how to build or buy a non Hardy one? I have spoken to Hardy's and they can't help but did say that it's a different shape to those used on the Pilots. Many thanks in advance Ian
